Don't know too much about these receivers but am in my mates' club at the mo where he has one of these installed.
The previous owner had this installed but has removed his router. I have just installed BT Business hub router but the pin has been set on the Eagle box.

I have tried numerous default numbers but think that the installer has set his own, he wants £20 to set it but I believe he will still keep the pin secret. Is there a way to clear the box back to default??

Dont they use the same images as a DM500?
If so can you not either use tuxbox commander or ftp and browse to the file where the password is stored,

Sorry but cant think off hand the file location m8

I think the password file is stored in var/etc

for a tutorial on how to delete the password there's a thread in the Linux technomate room

Cheers digidude and wiz569, will deffo have a look in the morning. As far as I'm concerned the guy who originally set this up is trying it on and earning money by keeping the pin to himself.

Hopefully I can finish the job before he arrives.

Most dealers are to thick to reset the linux password it's most probably the parental code

In enigma it's in
/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/config
it will be in hex so open windows calculator tick hex input the code then click Dec and it will give you the 4 pin code, you will have to search as I don't remember what the line says but it will be obvious.

In neutrino it's in /var/tuxbox/config/neutrino.conf and looks like this
parentallock_pincode=0707
so it's plain text, the example shows a code of 0707

You can view it from tuxbox commander (blue button) the number 3 to view the file. Most dealers are to thick to remove tuxbox commander as it's locked away in the read only squashfs section.

You can let everyone know the code then and cut the dealers profits :)
