VLC plugin

Done a search and cannot find answer.

Trying to get d500c streaming to media portal, Dreamworldz 2.0 enigma image.

Gets and can change channels, but crashes when try to view live TV.

Media Portal forums said to install VLC plugin, so I searched and installed 'vlc0.2.3.tar.bz2' from \tmp and the blue button.

It's installed because it displays in the yellow button menu and launches some kind of browser to run file/vcd/dvd etc.

still cannot stream, any help would be much appreciated.

Do I need a different image?

Had the same problem with my 500. Found a handy little program called "mfaraj dreambox viewer4". streaming is much easier and better with this program. Just remember to set up a static IP address in the dreambox
