Can't connect to a 500c

Hi ,
My mate has done something on his 500c causing it to lose all encrypted channels, so he tried to re-flash it , now all he gets is the dk start screen which keeps re starting!
He can't connect to the box at all now so he can't flash it with anything else!

Any help & advise would be much appreciated'

He will need a null modem cable and a program called dreamup to reflash it.

I've used dreamup before with no problems, but when i tried it earlier i could'nt get it to work, i've since found a different version which seems to be working ok!
