just flashed the dm500c with Neutrino V1.0 but cannot find any channels? dose anybody have a guide so i can setup the dm500c for use with south wales NTL.

thanks

make sure you have the correct location set m8
as some locations have more than 1 option
:)

or you could try scanning at different parts of the day, sometimes helps

or try the next nearest location to yours mate. what area are you in?

What do you mean by boot image ?
The boot screens are animated.
To be honest I don't see what they have to do with the image.
They can be changed if you have a linux installation and can follow simple instructions.
The shutdown screens which are also animated can be changed much easier.

It is a dw image so the screens are branded as such is that such a bad thing, I don't see any other forums releasing neutrino images for the dm500 so don't see a problem with the branding.

iSpy: If you still can't pick up Setanta, try removing the screw-on attenuator from the end of your cable feed (if you have one) and see if this makes a differance, replace if not.

Sounds a little obvious but have you tried a slow scan on 6887 (for Cardiff)?

What image are you using? If it is the DW Neutrino 1.0 you can manually scan by entering the following:

transponder frequency 755000000
symbol_rate 6887000
& set everything else to auto

Hope this helps

Hi Munchkin, I am going to flash the DW 1.0 image this afternoon, so pleased to see a Neutrino development :)
I have used the cryo (29/07/2008) image and found that the bouquets don't save on reboot?! Do you know if the DW1.0 is based on the same image and has the same fault with bouquets?
Other than that I think the Cryo image is great. Looking forward to flashing the DW1.0 keep up the good work & a big THANKS to all involved in its development.

The bouquets are not the same as cryo's last image, as they were a non cvs standard but at the time they were the only people that could compile neutrino for the dm500. The dw neutrino bouquet and service files are cvs standard so fully compatible with any dbox2 neutrino bouquet and service files.

I havn't heard of the missing bouquet problem with the dw neutrino images but the image does have the backup service/bouquet files to /var which cryo introduced to get around the missing bouquet bug in the rudbox images.

The image is not as advanced as dbox2 images but I am sure they will continue to get better.

Nice to see the fast scan in as I hate waiting.

Yep, it definately dumps it's bouquets (for me anyway)! If I create new bouquets using either yWeb or the remote control, any changes are lost on reboot?!

Can you reccomend a decent neutrino bouquet/channel editor, with link would be good.

Other than this the image is GREAT! Thanks

Ok, sorry to go on. I have just used a dbox2 (Neutrino) bouquet editor (attached) and it seems to work fine now. That is really strange?!
I am now as happy a the perverbial pig in

Keep up the development, hope the editor is of help - it is very easy to use.
