Hopefully somebody out there can help, I was trying to get the DM600 PVR-T running and I have now lost everything, when I power up the green and red led's at the front alternate for about 20 seconds then the green led comes on for about 20 secs, then it switches off and goes red. I cannot use the remote control or connect via ftp as the box is powered off. Think I may have screwed this up, I altered some things using the tuxbox commander and pressed an SOS/Rescue button somewhere in there. I was using the CLi image availabale on this site.

Please does anybody know how to get back to factory reset or even somewhere that will allow me work with this box again.

Thanks a lot.

as i said in reply to your earlier post, start over with a fresh flash, dreamup is the safest way but slow.

Lads trying your advice above but cannot connect via null modem cable or via a cross over cable to dreamup. Everything is okay until Dreamup asks me to switch on the dream box, then it doesn't do anything !!! The DM600 tries to switch on (led goes green, then after 20 seconds the red led comes on and the system has hung)

any advice?

Thanks a lot.

You have to configure the network settings inside dreamup independly if you want to use network or not for a dream600 box.

IN COMMUNACATIONS SETUP on your box make sure the DHCP is unticked, and on dreamup make sure the USE NETWORK is unticked also. DONT put the power cord in to the box till it tell you to power up the box. what are you using? ie laptop/desktop? what os ? ie vista or xp? and what is happining exactly?

Bakerman,

I cant get into my box at all to change "IN COMMUNACATIONS SETUP on your box make sure the DHCP is unticked", I have tried this using a desktop with XP, when using the null cable I have the Use Network Unticked as suggested by you below, I select COM 3 in dreamup, click connect, dreamup then asks me to Swith on the dreanbox, I insert the power cord then both LED's alternate for a couple of seconds, the the green LED comes on for approx. 20 seconds, then it seems to switch off and the red LED comes on. Dreamup is still waiting for the box to power up?

cheers,

does dreamup tell you its found the box after you power it up? if not try it on the other coms.
