H,i can anybody help ? I have a new dm500 and was putting DM2.0 on it via network and it bricked, this has happed before to me with other boxes so I plugged in the Null cable and attempted to use dream-up like usual. However the box is not communicating. I tried one of my other boxes with the cable I case it was that or the port but the other box communicated immediately.

Anybody any ideas ?/?

Thanks Beany

Hi Bakerman - cant reset cause cant get to the box unless there is a hardware reset that im not aware of ?

thanks

bricking normally only happens when using ethernet to flash....is this what you did? If so always use null modem cable. I've bricked a few myself when I first got some using ethernet cable and flashwizard pro.

what you get for em

if you are handy with a screwdriver, open the box and make sure the com port header is seated properly on the board (that is if you have never used the com port on that box before!)

Beany, are you using Vista? USB - Serial converter?
