dreambox 500c very little channels

hey everyone finally took the plunge and got a dreambox 500 untill now had been usin the dbox 2,got the box fom dreammagic,it came with an image some i tried a transponder scan option were 6900 or 6875 im on chorus in limerick ireland so went with 6875,got 30 channels but have them didnt display anything,tried a new image from the download section its a dublin version of gemini 3.4 i think but still the same story any advice foe a dreambox newbie

Hi not sure about ireland someone should be able to help you bit more in details you won,t get much with 6875 and 6900 these are german i am sure there are 1 or 2 modded images to work in ireland if you come from dbox2 background you shouldn,t have much difficulty in understanding the box ****

the image that i put on is modded for use in dublin so it should be pickin up more i hope its only something small,cant download any other images at the moment over the downloads section not working

download the dw 1.6.5 version and do a scan for channels on sys 6887

i did download it but sadly had a bad flash and now just have a black screen and nothin on the box,have to find a way to flash it with dream up but my computer is new so doesnt have the same serial port as the deambox,will that scan setting work for chorus ireland?what program do people find easiest to flash a drembox with?i use fillzilla with my dbox and have no problems with using it so what would be the most similar for the dreambox?

should do,it works for dublin on ntl but it would be the same i think if not just scan with bruteforce,i had the same problem with dreamup and null modem cable and a new computer if your screwed youll just have to find a computer that does have one,it only takes a few minutes anyhow

I have quite a few cables for chorus.

I see most have just 6900 and 6875 on the header (probably no one ever changed them)


What I would do is install neutrino 0.9 on your dreambox using telnet method and download and use d2d.exe to convert your services from dbox to dreambox. (at this point DevilFish keeps correcting me but hopefully I have it correct this time ...) Otherwise just edit your 3.4 dublin gemini image cables.xml to use same freqs as your dbox bearing in mind format not quite the same.

hey lads thanhs for all the useful info so far,was able to flash the dreambox with dreamup on a mates computer flashed it will dreamworlz 1.65 put on the irish cables.xml did my scan picked up my 140 tv channels but on the majority of channels i get message could not descramble channel sounds like a rom or key issue?so when i press blue on these channels i get a menu but when i select the dw dream menu it goes no further any ideas

Try deleting nagrarom10.bin and nagrarom11.bin in var/keys and var/scce and then restart evocamd.

I replied in another thread just now - reflash to ensure you are actually seeing the cams initialise.
