Transfering Folders

Hello, can somebody please tell me how to transfer the Enigma folder from Dreambox on to my PC and then transfer it back? Thanks.

Use an ftp client to connect to the box. You will need a crossover ethernet cable if connecting from PC to dreambox.

There is a guide here and the software is here. It's for the dbox2 but will work just the same on the dreambox.

Navigate to /var/tuxbox/config and you will see the enigma folder. Simply drag it to a location on the left hand side (your PC) and it will copy over. To copy back, simply do the reverse.

After you do a scan and get all the channels, I would go to /var/tuxbox/config and copy the enigma folder to your PC.

Then flash the DW UK 1.6.1 image in the download section. This will have emu already installed in it. Once it's flashed, copy the enigma folder back to the same location on the new image.

Press the BLUE button and go to the DW menu. Then go to the Reload Channels menu and select reload channels.

Hopefully you should have all the channels now and they should be working.

Leave it on a free to air channel for 5 minutes then go to a premium channel and leave it there. It will take time to update the keys and clear the channel.

Hello Devilfish , after I transferd the folder to the Dreambox and went to Reload Channels a message comes up saying
Before running this script
copy services to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma
copy all user bouqets to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/cables

Do I delete the original enigma folder compleatly?

No probs m8. You could have deleted the folder first if you wanted to or simply clicked 'overwrite all' when it prompted you.
