Hi,

In the System Path settings, the default storage device says none selected but wont let me scroll over for one.
All other paths seem ok to the Internal HDD'

Is there something I need to do with hard drive(besides throwin it out the window)

Thanx Amigos,

Higg

Is the hdd formated? Where do you have this?

Think youll need to initialise then mount it before you can set recording paths.

Menu setup-hdd to initialise

Blue button twice device manager to set the mount point to media/hdd

Then set the recording paths etc.

If you press the blue button twice does the device show up in device manager ?

If it does use the <> buttons on the remote to select media/hdd

I seem to remember other have issues with one version of DE when it came to setting up a HDD so it might be worth trying another image if you have no look with the above.

It's in device manager,,,says"No mountpoint defined" In system path settings says "No default storage device selected"....wont let me <> to select..maybe another image....ive tried original openpli for S4, but have trouble gettin it to load....black screen!! Any Ideas???

Thanx mate

Hey Guys...thanx to Eparthen on another Forum, got it fixed.
I finally managed to mount my HDD without initializing it, by adding the following line to fstab file in etc directory:

/dev/sda /media/hdd auto defaults 0 0

Then I restarted the box, and hdd was presnt. I am not sure if this is a correct method to do it, but it worked!

Thanx to all for help.....Great Forum.....Higgmeister
