hi all

i currently have a cccam/oscam server set up for testing and all works fine

i now want to move to oscam only and test to see how the ECMs timings differ as im not happy with the cccam/oscam setup for ECM times, as its much slower for me.

ive done loads of reading and seen 100's of different configs to use lol and its confusing me more as most configs are geared up for oscam/cccam setup

firstly i want my other boxes to keep using cccam so i need to use CCCam protocol in oscam

secondly for me to use cccam protocol do i need to install cccam at all and do i still need a cccam.cfg file? i believe all user accounts are now created in oscam.user

thirdly, will my white card still update using oscam only with cccam protocol? i use one box that sends EMMs to the card and works well in oscam/cccam

fourthly anyone point me in right direction on what to put in the oscam configs, card is 0963 and using internal reader for DM500s

i have flashed a dm500 with pli jade maxvar and have manually installed latest oscam, so thats the bit im up to at the moment

any advice much appreciated!

thanks guys

In your oscam.conf you need to enable cccam protocol,in fact if your using oscam webif you can do it from there

Your clients will now go into oscam.user and if you are using your box as a viewing box you will also need to enable dvbapi

You will no longer then need cccam or cccam.cfg :)

thanks mate

i dont use the dm500 to view

so in theory i can take my working oscam/cccam server, enable cccam protocol in oscam.conf, enter the clients in oscam.user

delete cccam, delete cccam.cfg from the dreambox?

can i delete the [newcamd] in the oscam.conf too?

here is my current configs from working oscam/cccam:

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

oscam.conf
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

oscam.user
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

oscam.server
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

Thanks

You need to include this in your oscam.conf

[cccam]
port = xxxxx ----enter the port you have put in your clients cline here
version = 2.2.1
build =
reshare = 1
reshare_mode =
ignorereshare =
minimizecards =
stealth = 1
updateinterval =
keepconnected = 1

You can either # out the newcamd part or delete it altogether

and then yes you can uninstall cccam and delete any cccam cfgs if the uninstall does not do it for you,
but you might want to leave them there till your happy with oscam

thanks mate

briefly tested it and it seems to work

another question about emms

what part of the Account do i specify to allow EMMs from that client?

i currently have:

[account]
user = user1
pwd = pass1
disabled = 0
uniq = 1
group = 1
au = cardslot
caid = 0963:000000

Unfortunately I have not got around to that yet

But here is a link to the oscam wiki which covers everything,if you can understand it lol

Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.

au=cardslot is for emm updates from that user.

Just add that part to one or two users or remove it from the accounts that you don't want to send you emm's

Having just read through the full thread.

You need to keep the [newcamd] part in oscam.conf and change one or two of your clients to use n-lines not c-lines. This is done in the client cccam.cfg file. The clients will still use cccam, but it connects to oscam using the newcamd protocol.

Cccam protocol itself cannot send Emm's to an oscam server to update the card.

Remember to set a different port for the newcamd protocol. Your emm update clients will connect using this port.

thanks mate, was reading about the Newcamd last night

so to confirm, i can keep both CCCam and NewCamd parts in the oscam.conf and use different port for newcamd for a local receiver to use to update entitlements yeh?

do i need to create CCCam.cfg on the server and put the single n line in there? for it to talk back to oscam?

Yes keep both newcamd and cccam in oscam.conf different ports though!

Not sure what you mean about local?

Configure one or two of your current clients to use an n-line and connect using the newcamd port.

au=cardslot for the two n-lines in oscam.user

That's it really.

ahh excellent

so no need for any cccam.cfg on the server?

will try this tonight :)

i believe i can test the entitlements as ive read if i change my $ky go password via their site it pushes out an EMM to the the card- so i heard anyway!
