Just wanna double check this but If I was to say get a share from a payserver which would obviously have no re-share rights for my twin tuner receiver am I right in saying that only one tuner would be able to record/watch a channel at a time?

You should be able to use both tuners,as the line is per box not per tuner

OK cheers m8. One other thing, If they were to look at their webif would it show the channel I am watching flicking back and forth between the two channels thus giving the impression I am re-sharing?

It probably would m8 but I dont think many of them sit there scrutinizing every share ;)

Give it a try and lets know your findings m8 :)

It does appear as your resharing as iv had this before with a client, like you say flicking between channels while recording and obviously the ecm's shoot up too so it sticks out like a sore thumb when ecms are double what other clients are. But if the server owners know there lines secure with no reshare dont think they'd be bothered and if so just explain why its like that!

just let your provider/friend know that your using a twin tuner and you should be fine. regards mdt

cheers guys. Figured this was the case but just wanted to be certain

a lot are charging extra for twin tuners a little less per month than two lines is what i have seen when looking through there adds and 95% want to know what box you are using before issuing test i know of one that will not issue to twin tuners that run on oscam like the qd box
but what about a single tuner that records one and lets you watch another on the same tp that would be my argument if they want more money

If they are using anticasc they can tighten the settings to allow enough ecms to view one channel and the client will be punished if they are recording another channel as Oscam will see this as resharing. At the same time it could cause problems for the client if they are channel hopping.
