epg network mount any ideas ?

Hello im looking for some help i would like to set a network mount up for my dm500 but dont really know where to begin ive been looking through the forum but aint found a post about it.
Or is it possible to set an epg up without a mount for pli ? my dm800 has epg it stores the info on its sata hdd.

from what ive been told it requires pli and a network mount for it to work. this is due to memory limitations. I also want to get the epg sorted.

I was told you can store 3 days worth of epg in the tmp folder but my box just crashed each time i gave it a try so would really like to store it to my ubuntu but will practice with xp first...

bear in mind you will lose all your epg if you reboot your machine.

I cant seem to find how to mount to pc m8..

Sorry I use tmp folder for storing 3days epg, do use mount for streaming from pc but just settling down for a few beers now so will help tomorrow if that's any use?

One little tip if like me you don't have username/password for shared folders you still have to put something into the settings on pli I normally just put any random letter.

His is for a neutrino image but the principles are the same just the screens are different.

Well i have been trying to follow this PLi® Images website - PLi® Wiki: E1Mount but im sure im doing something wrong i made a folder on my c drive and called it netmount and enabled sharing on it but the dm just dont seem to connect to it.

i think its something im doing wrong on my laptop windows xp i might try it on my linux desktop

You can watch downloaded movies (converted to ts format first) and use it to store your EPG

You will need to tick rw if you want to be able to write to the share.

Very true m8 if using for EPG or recording,
but I never bother recording anything as its all available on download somewhere lol

Darn the kids have come in and put the wii on so i will have to wait to try and record ive downloaded sqlite and the xml but now need to set them up ohh and what do you press on the remote to record i cant seem to find it ?
Iwill have a look about on how to set the epg up
