N line "Trick", steal cards from a CCcam-server with OScam

thought as much, will have to keep an eye open for excessive use, I did read about using a , in the user/pass to trip people up. Might try this in the future.

Just because they advertise a cline doesn't mean they are trying to con you.

Forgive me for not fully contemplating what has been going on this thread, but I thought someone pointed out that the vulnerability was only present in CCcam versions 2.13 downwards.

So for instancing using Cccam 2.21 as your server should prevent this?

Correct mate.

The Oscam team put it about recently that CCcam had a backdoor, but it was because the newest version of CCcam can now read certain cards, it couldn't before, doing away with the need to use Oscam aswell.

I am not saying that everyone is trying to con, but if the person you are connected to is stating they are using CCcam but actually using OScam, then that is at least being a bit economical with the truth.

From what I have read this trick can be done with any version of CCcam, I am using 2.1.4, don't know if anyone else has peers that show a large number of local cards but some of mine do and either they are loaded and already have every card there is, or they are faking cards they don't have, maybe just to get some extra channels for themselves but I guess in some instances they are selling these on.

From version 2.14 onwards the trick does not work, and if they are advertising clines then they are using CCcam aswell, i wouldn't say thats economical with the truth. People that claim to have loads of cards, can be at it, But if people give you a cline then they are definately using CCcam.

I'm in the process of extending the hobby to get myself some euro cards and the first thing the guys, who are obviously pay servers, are demanding is that you enable resharing on your fline. I'd imagine these guys who have commercial interests wouldnt bother asking me to give permissions to share if they could easily reshare anyway.
