Best Image for DM500 (Clone)

Hi Guys,

Slightly confused with which image I need to use on my DM500 Clone??

I see on some threads that clone safe is mentioned, but on others there is nothing highlighting which is safe in my cloned receiver.

Any links would be appreciated.

u need a clone safe image

i use a gemini 4.06 clone safe no timebomb image

as long as it says clone safe then u should be fine

yeah, but how would I know if the image is clone safe as none of them state this?

hi i have a clone prob as well but i think its my tuner thats gone, while searching for a image that works on my dm500s clone i found this image, if someone with more experience could varify if this is the one to use on clones but im quite sure it is, as i say i think mine is faulty an this image didnt solve my tuner prob, ill put link p anyways m8 its called Gemini_0460_DM500_NObomb.img

For future reference if i flashed a non pli or a clone bomb safe image to my clone box first would that cause the box problems, if so would flashing a pli image into box afterwards solve any probs that where caused, sorry for mad questions but we all have to learn sometime, thanks

i use PLIjade... safe and as stable as you,ll get.. also get the Maxvar one, it,s a little smaller than the others, save on a little memory on the 500..cheers satcat

Thanks mate that's the one I ended up using and it works fine now!!

Apparently, all clones had the same Mac address, so gemini was able to exploit this and kill them. And apparently, you can spoof it also, so that you can use gemini images on your receiver

Before, I confuse you, I have an "openmedia 500cs" which is basically a clone of a DM 500C and a 500S in one receiver.

Me personally, I have used PLI on the cable side, and nabilosat on the sat side. I dont know whats got an easier file system(as I havent FTP'd to the sat side) Ill have to see what I like the general feel of. Oh and the fact I havent done any FTPing for quite some time now, so may be rusty!
