Hi, I used to use PLI Jade3 on my DM800, and to stream from my dreambox to a pc i would just open - http://dreamboxIP:31344 - with vlc and it would stream.

I know you can do the same with Gemini using port 8001, but I have now flashed the latest Nailosat image, and would like to know what port is used for streaming with BlackHole - google has not yielded any successful results!

Thanks

Thanks, but unfortunatly that didn't work for me either!

I'd prefer to use vlc, as i have that installed on all my pc's/macs/laptops - dont really want to go down the route of using something like dreamview!

If Pli had an EPG like Blackhole has, then i'd go back to them, but i must say overall blackhole is a very good image - just need to get the streaming sorted :)

Is there perhaps somesort of plugin i have to install to be able to stream via VLC?

31339 is the generic port for streaming with the original DMM images! Still gave it a go, but no luck!

The Web tv function on the nabilosat images work very well, so i'd be happy using that, but if you can stream with webtv, you must be able to stream to vlc somehow! If i can get the feed into VLC then i can stream externally, ie, to my mobile when im on the go!

usin Nab v.12....
been tinkering with everything else ,,,,,,but that was teh setting i used on 500

pulled this from elsewhere

" But we also have a web-x-tv button which loads the stream correctly. You can load the stream yourself through VLC if you want. There will probably be a button in the web interface which will give you the stream info, pids etc. Simply then goto VLC, Open Network stream, choose the http one, then put it in the format dreamboxip:31339/0,PMT,VPID,APID,PCPRID

e.g. i put in 192.168.0.24:31339/0,0x76c,0x76d,0x76f,0x76d to view Digit ALB 5"

weird... 8001 doesnt work in vlc, but when i download the .m3u file it and load it with vlc, it does say it streams from 8001 and it works a treat!

Thanks
