I've been trying to set my box up using usals but i'm having trouble getting the box to move the motor.

I put my long and lat settings into the box then go to sat set up, it will drive the motor to the sat, i then i have to fine tune it with positioner, it locks on and i i can scan it but when i go onto the next one the motor won't move, even if i try to move it myself using the positioner.

then the motor won't move at all if i select one of the channels of the sat i have scanned in.

sometimes the motor will only drive to the sat postion abd then won't move if i try to manually adjust it on sat positioner.

It's very intermittent when it will actually drive the motor

the green light is on the motor so i know it's getting power, and the motor is fine because it works on my 500s

anyone else had this problem or have any idea as to what i can be.

I'm using nabilo 12 on bootloader 72

i've read somehwere that it could be the fact the clones are supplied with 12v 2/3 amp psu's and it needs a 4amp psu to drive the motor?

can anyone confirm this and doe anyone have a spare 4amp psu, :)

i have the same problem using genuine box.

which motor do u have?

I'll try & find the thread, but some people have issues with certain motors on the DM800 for some reason......

Yes how about telling us how to fix it? I have this problem on both my clone and genuine box and would love to solve it.

It's funny you come here to help but dont share the solution to your problem.

well to be honest not one person on here even bothered to reply to my thread offering help but i was going to post how i did it later on as i'm at work hope thats ok with you?

Well the reason for no reply is probably beacuse no one knew the answer. I had the same problem and posted in here to say that... but no common decency to help each other out.

Thats what this forum lacks.

people help out when and how they can... if they dont know the answer why will they post...

i had no idea.. but i would have assuemd would be an issue with the box...

but as i dont have a motorised system or a box i wont comment with false information..

no need to pull the no1 helps no1 tone.. cause this is one of the most heplu places around.. but if no1 nos the answer there not gonna be able to answer it now are they ??

i didn't pull the no one helps tone at all, just think the other guy was a bit rude saying "It's funny you come here to help but dont share the solution to your problem. "

You just told us that you solved the problem and went... you didn't say ... I'll post the solution later or anything... what are we meant to assume.

yes because i was on the way out to work hence the short message...assume what you want, or maybe ask "could you post up your solution?" no develop a tone like you did.

have you ever thought people might have lives too.?

or even browse other forums.?

or even scour the net looking for the same problem you may have to find a solution for you......

there are good people on this forum who have vast knowledge.....

anyway stop the ranting guys....this forum is for helping out others awsell as being helped.....

ask a question and it will be answered (if an answer is known)...wether it takes 5mins or 5 days....if it leads to a result then voila....

well the point was made in general comment not as a personal dig..

its seen arcoss here so many times people getting wound up as no 1 has a soloution for their problem..

sorry if it came across like that mate..

end of the day if you wish to post your souloution or not is it up to you.. but well done for solving it and on to the next problem..

dreamboxes are like cars. you have to keep playing with them but something keeps going wrong..

Have a good eve at work mate

cheers guys

well here's how i sorted mine:

reflashed with nabilo 12

go to tuner and set it up for usals and enter your longitude latitude in the tuner.

press Green, Yellow, Addons,Enigma 2 settings, and download Likra E2 settings (motor)

you should then have all the sats alredy scanned in.

I then selected bbc world on 1w, the dish moved to that position

I then had to adjust the dish and elevation to get a good signal, job done.

It now tracks all the sats

don't go into the sat finder/positioner to set it up, only to test the signal strength

oh and a big thanks to chrisuk for helping me with this
