Can anyone give me a link to a tutorial on how to get access to my eagle from a remote pc ( outside my LAN ) My router is a st586v6 i have a dyndns account and my password has been changed from the default . It's the router port forwarding / set up application thats got me beat i think. The eagle is in use with port 12000 open

Thank you

make sure the eagle has a static internal IP by unticking the DCHP box in the communications menu, then on your router forward port 80 to the dreambox IP

now outside of your LAN, type in your dyndns address and youll be able to log into your receiver

in the expert setup tick 'enable http authentication' so youll have to actually log into it

Thanks for the reply but i must be doing something fundamentaly wrong in games and applications i created a new application eagle2 ( port 80 ) and assigned this to my Lan address of my eagle tried inputing dyndns account tag into web browser no joy .Also tried editing my eagle application to have 12000 and 80 open still no joy . http is ticked in expert setup and dchp un ticked

When you enter you dyndns address if set correctly you should hit your router. So it sounds that the dyndns account is not synced with your ip address (if you dont have a dyndns updater it may have changed so the account will be pointing you old ip)

you can bypass the the dyndns whilst your testing, just get you external ip address (type in whats my ip in google) use that once you have your router forwarding correctly. Then you can use the dyndns address.
