Hi members.

I'm a new member here. I have a new zealand sky nds card. It's an old version of nds and the dreambox is unable to recognise the card using either cccam or newcs.

I think if I can discover the boxkey of the card then cccam should work by entering it into cccam.cfg.

Could anyone tell me how I can read the boxkey for an nds card please?

I think there was a program around at one time that was part of the Gbox package that could be used to generate a pairing code for an already paired box/card. This pairing code could then be used in the gbox cam on a dreambox to give you all the channels you were subscribed to.

Gbox-Keygen or something similar I think it was called

Not sure if it would work on a New Zealand card though. All NDS customers seem to get a different variant of the system so what works in one place rarely works in another.

mg_camd can read NDS cards m8, it reads our uk sly one which is NDS so i'm persuming it should read yours ok

mgcamd is not able to read a local smartcard, it has to be used with newcs. I am sure you must have newcs installed krazylegz if it reads your card. Newcs and cccam work with all NDS cards that are currently possible.

im a member of an australian forum, and the Au NDS cards are different to ours, many times ive been corrected for saying an NDS card will work fine, when theirs doesnt, their gamma cards are also totally different to ours as well, they call them 'whities' and i believe theyre what we know as titanium cards

if you do an oz google for austech thisll help you out as well m8 ;)

I'm actually in aussie and our nds versions work fine with both cccam and newcs. No box keys or anything needed, just the standard config.

However my mate in NZ's nds card is about 8 years old. Still current but is obviously an old encryption version. There's very little info on NZ nds working. Apparently it will work with a sat pci card but I was hoping to get it going in the dream. Will keep persisting!
