Hi,
When you fine tune a positioner setting for a given satellite, where is this data saved to?

Does it update a DM file, or is this information saved to the motor somehow?

using diseqc 1.2 its stored as a position in the motor m8, the receiver then sends commands to the motor to go to stored position x

Thanks Digi.
Presumably, the motor reset switch resets this data to zero?

the motor has a 'default' database that it uses, resetting it makes it go back to this factory set list of positions, the manual will tell you what they are, see page 10 of the attached manual for an example

Thanks for this Digi.
I'm having problems getting the fine tuning settings to store in the motor.
I'm trying to fine tune 26 east - i can get the services ok once i've adjusted it slightly, but when i move to another satellite and change back to 26 i find that the fine tuning settings haven't saved.

Any ideas?

on my sat box unless you tell it to store after ajusting it wont stay.

hi there,
i'm not sure how you specify diseqc1.2 or USALS?
Basically, i'm using the LT4 image, and scanned in services manually one satellite at a time using the manual scan menu.
The dish moves to the sat i select according to information stored in the Satellite.xml file, i presume.
I've never done a USALS scan to my knowledge, and don't know how i would go about this with the LT image.

As i mentioned, all sats seem to be bang on the arc, except 26 which needs 9 or so nudges to get things lined up.
Not sure why the motor won't save the fine tuned position for 26.
Any ideas?

usals on most images is set as the 'goto xx' box being ticked, and yout latitude and longitude settings being entered m8

Thanks Digi, but i'm not sure we have the 'goto xx' box on 7025 images. I seem to remember seeing this on some 500 original images though.
Could anyone running a Gemini or LT image on a 7025 confirm whether this is the case?

Or even better, if there is anyone with a 7025 who's successfully managed to store the satellite fine tuning settings, then please tell me how you did it!!

Regards.
