I was trying to get some packages from 5e on but for some reason they come under 4.8e in my settings and when I try to turn to one of those channels it says no signal. I can't even fine tune it as it assumes the channels for 4.8e won't open on 5e.

Hope this make some sense. If not I'll, I'll try typing it all again in an hour or so. :)

Is it to do with my satellites.xml and if I update this will I lose or change my bouquets?

I know exactly what you mean!!

I updated my dreambox to 4.31 and suddenly 5.0e and 1w dissapeared from my sats!

So I read on gemini forum that they have changed 5.0e to 4.8e and 1w to 0.8w.

1w scanned in ok at 0.8w, but when I scanned 4.8e I couldn't even get INTER and ENTER (bloody strong signal)

So after messing around with it for a about 3 hours I gave up flashed my dreambox back to 4.20 (where it is still 5e & 1w) and signal came in nice and strong on 5e.

Moral of the story:
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

4.8

Can you do a manual transponder search?

The only way I could get 1w to scan (as it was not in available satellites) was via blue button.

I am not near my dreambox at the moment, but I think it was blue button and then '3' expert setup??

You want the 'satellites.xml loader' option.

You need to enable the satellites you can recieve (change to green from red) and thor 0.8 is in the atlantic section.

Reboot box (it asks you anyway)

That was the only way to get my dreambox to even put 0.8w in available sats to scan.

Yes and it works fine for Inter/Enter but when I try to go to my bouquet and access it, it just won't have it. I'm after the Kingston stuff

kingston?

Just found this on another forum i dont know if this might help if its what your looking for,

QVC on 11005MHz. Its actually on 10759MHz. So you are 246 Mhz out, which is a clue. You receiver is set with its lnb frequency 250 Mhz too high. (Its probably set to 10000MHz instead of 9750 mhz.) If you cant find how to alter it in the menu, just add 250MHz onto any frequency
