I'm not sure if it's because I use my Mac to FTP or what but for some reason I have no space to install a new cam. I tried to install MGCamd 1.28 but it say it has failed. I deleted my old un-used cams and it shows as 38% free space, so I guess that is plenty of room. I have thinned down everything too in my Keys folder ie. softcam etc. (removed keys not used etc.)

It has done this before and the only way I have got around it is a complete re-flash, which takes me about 4 hours with all the scanning.

Does anyone else have this problem?

you could try deleting all old crap in you tmp folder if theres anything there.

Gemini 4.20 or 4.21 I think.

Can I delete everything in my temp folder without any problems?

I have 5 files.

ecm.info
mgcamd.pid
mgshare.info
pid.info
pmt.tmp

Not that big to be honest though, around 1.5k ish.

turn power off to the box for 20secs then turn back on
then goto the gemini server and try and install mgcamd 1.28 and see what happens

There's no point in deleting stuff in /tmp. It's a ramfs mount, so it only exists in memory.

Try telneting into your dreambox and typing:
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
It'll show you the free space on the various filesystems. I can't see using a mac will make any difference.

not sure about the problem as others have mentioned possible solution. you said it takes 4 hours to reinstall a new fw for scanning etc, why dont you just back up channels and service list etc with sometthing like bouqet wizard or dreambox edit, and then your back in a jiffy.

ahh hangon, a mac...umm you could try em through vmware or something, i know there is a mac version. that's a pain in the ass still, or just ftp in, and download the relevant files yourself.

* I did space it all out properly but the forum took out the extra spaces!

Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 3.8M 3.8M 0 100% /
/dev/mtdblock/1 2.8M 1.0M 1.7M 38% /var

I take it the root is my image flash?

The root part is everything except /var and /tmp.

mtdblock/1 is /var and it shows 38% free which is absolutely loads. You could fit about 5 emu in that space.

Try downloading the emu from the blue panel but don't install it. It will be downloaded to /tmp. Then use the manual install option and it should pick the file in /tmp, see if it installs then.

If you want to reflash, backup the following...

File: /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/services (no extension)
File: /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/bouquets (no extension)
File: /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/config (no extension)
Folder: /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/cable
Folder: /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/keys

After you have reflashed, copy these files and folders back to their location and unplug the box, wait 10s and plug back in.

DOH! Thanks everyone. I turned it off for a while then put it back on and it worked fine.

It must use some flash memory or something each time I replace my softcam with a new one and needs to be cleared occasionally. TPS back up and running and hopefully Premiere will now AU properly too. It used to grab the keys and put them in my softcam but didn't seem to work unless I re typed them in?

Working again now though! :)

Thanks all.
