Hello

I have a strange problem.

Sometimes the Tuner failed comes on some channels, and it works again normally after sometime,

It can work great for days, then again the problem comes.

This is for my friends box,
I took it to try it at my house, no problem.

He has a twin monoblock, and on the other box no problems, it is not a HD,
the one that has problems is HD. and it is the HD channels that are not good.

Can it be the Tuner?

Tuners under revision M for example rev j or k had difficulty with some HD channels.

But as it works at your house it could indicate your mates lnb is on its way out.

I know but it is a twin lnb,
And it works on the other dm600 reciver without any problems..

I have sold this type of box to many people,
even had one for a long time, never this problem.

and never problems with HD channels

I tested at his house with a Vu+ zero,
he said it was ok,

So I'm thinking it's something with the box..

I fixed everything in december,
everything new lnb, box,
exept for the cable, I used his old,
I was think can it also be the satellite coaxial cable?

I DM600 is not HD. Not comparable

I doubt it cable because you state other boxes work on the same cable.

early clone tuners were crap on the HD channels its a know fault but again you states it works fine at your house.

Have you checked the signal strength on these channels ?

Yes
The signal is OK,

It can work for maybe 1-4 days,.
then don't work for couple of hours, the again work without problem,

it's about 5-6 channels from about 1,000 that don't work,,

I changed the cable then nothing worked just 1 channel,
then changed back to old cable and now it is working good for 6 hours,

I think maybe it's the LNB/Switch,
It's a monoblock twin,

I have a new at home that I'm going to try at my home for a couple of days,
If it works OK, will change it at his house,

I was using DM800 clone never problems with HD channels,
and I changed no to Dm800 SE clone,,
Never had this problem in about 2-3 years,

From earlier experince this is a
LNB,Switch, Tuner or bad signal problem,

I have tried all execpt for LNB and Switch because it's all together in the LNB,
and it is the most work to take the dish down and up again, but It's the only thing that I haven't tried,

thank you for your help

Hello.
Sometimes problems with signal is because of power supply.
In clone receivers power supply are braking very often.

I was dealing with this many times before on my DM800se SIM2.10. And in my case the reason why it happened is because the tuner is not seated properly or you have to reinsert the tuner and clear the contact plate with eraser, Hope this help.
