R01 CA NOT FOUND - A8P Sim

I am getting stuck on reflashing my DM800SE (possibly cloned) with an A8P sim, using DreamUp 1.3.3.9 (tried 1.3.3.11 too). I get as far as the 'flashing button', but when i upload the file 'secondstage-dm800-84.nfi', it just hangs forever saying 'Calculating Checksum'.

What am i doing wrong? Or is the file i'm trying to upload corrupted? If so, where can i get a working file?

The second stage your trying to flash looks like it for the 800hd and not the 800se.

With the A8P sim you must flash original images and original bootloaders.

Ok. But where can I download the second stage bootloader for the DM800SE? I've looked at the Dream Multimedia website, but there only seems to be original OS files there and no second bootloaders...

The second stage is there but ive attached it for you anyway

The only issue with this file is it's an .ipk file. DreamUp only accepts .nfi.

What about DCC.

The latest nfi i can find is an 82 so you would need to use a 82 image to recover.

Dreamup should be able to use nfi and bin file so ive attached the later 84 bin

Can not be used for recover or install, with the NO CA error there is no FTP access.

Ok. Well I'm not sure is my DM800SE is totally bricked or Windows 10 is somehow stopping the flashing, but I can only get as far as flashing the second stage bootloader and it just hangs indefinitely on Calculating Checksum. I don't have another computer with an earlier version of Windows...

Optiflasher won't load in Administrator or Compatibility mode
Japher Flasher also reacts the same way as DreamUP (versions 1.3.3.9 & 1.3.3.11)

Any ideas anyone?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I was using DreamUP already - it is here that I can get no further than Calculating Checksum when flashing with the secondstage bootloader file. It is here where it stays indefinitely...

You need to borrow a mates PC then and use optiflasher.

I got it working. The issue, for some reason, was I was trying to flash the box using the DHCP from my router. As soon as I disabled wifi and LAN acces and directly connected my laptop to the DM800SE, the flashing worked...

There's not a lot of backups around if thats what your looking for.

A8P sims take Original images so that is what you want to flash with
