DM800SeHd what is best image to use

I've been using the following image
Dreambox UK v2.1.1 Image for DM800SE Clone Sim 2.10 84A
on my box and was wondering if it was time to change to a newer version or should I stick with this version

Youll find a lot of support for OpenATV on here.

as above mate

my default image now

openatv does not com with cams you have to manually install em....open pli does and is more use friendly .(in my opinion)

openatv does come with cams

also once you figure it out its a far better option than pli

On the gjstroom clone version cam downloads or rather the cam feed is included. Only the original images dont include the feed as standard but its simple to add it.

I'm pretty new to this and just want to be sure I download the correct version for my box as I caused myself a load of hassle in the past uploading the wrong thing.
Is this the correct version for my box OpenAtv4.2-Dm800HD-sim2-ssl84d-Backup-by-alimac: ?
Do I need a version ssl84a for my box or will ssl84d be fine? or would you have a link to a post that explains what the version naming convention refers to?

You can not install the gjstroom version on an original box its for sim2 clones.

i have a sim 2 tried openatv-4.0-dm800se -20140208.nfi (just done it ) got no ca found so flashed it back to open pli.

i use secondstage-dm800se-84 nfi for flashing.

I did say you couldnt use a sim image

so i f i want to use Openatv it would have to be original version? or i can ii use a clone version on my clone box?

if its a clone you use clone image for your sim

Original boxes don't have a sim version. Sims are for clones. If your box is a clone then use a clone or sim image for that version of box. Otherwise there may be bricks.

For me the best image for my DM800se Sim2 is OPEN PLI
why ??The most stable , excellent pictureBecause it has the best support for IPTV , given as a plugin or as userbouquets

Hi All, I've a clone DM800HDSEI dont understand if I can use a software version ssl84d with my box that has ssl84a installed.
The filename of the firmware on my box is as follows, sim2SE_SSL84A_0929.nfi
Could someone let me know if an openatv or open pli image with ssl84d is ok to use or is there an update to ssl84d that I need to carry out first,
A link to the appropriate update if required would be very much appreciated.
