DM800se users advise needed

I running 2x dm800se living room one is hard wired to router and bedroom is hard wire via a home plug, the problem I'm getting is every couple of days is loses the IP address with router but homeplug is still connected, I do I network test and it shows connect with router but fails to get IP address, rebooting don't help only way to get it back is turn power off via power switch on box and back on, any ideas why it's doiing this, I have also tried the built in wifi and that does the samething.

Both boxs are running rats pli4 back up image, when it's connected it perfect until next time.

It's confused me.

Swap the boxes around mate does the same thing happen ? Can understand this to a degree with homeplugs but surprised about the same issue with the internal wifi.

are the boxes set static or dhcp mate? If Dhcp try setting try setting them static

was gonna blame the home plugs until i seen the same happens with wifi which is surprising
swap over to rule out hardware issue with box

the homeplug was set to a static IP, I have now switched over to DCHP to see what happens, the wifi has been running static IP for months its only just started do this within the last month.

Lan is set to default and wifi is backup

wifi has been running for last six months error free, this only just started within the last 3 weeks there abouts.

check no one stealing your wifi if just started giving problems

with these being clones check the MAC addresses of the receivers

Just checked MAC address and there are not the same, also my wifi is secure but going to change the pass code for it.

EPG is set to scan every day but every few times it fails and box reboots, this is when the network loses connect, I'm going to stop daily EPG scan and see how I get on.

I gave up with open tv providers on cross epg as it was crashing my box. ended up using xmltv and rytec.

I have stopped crossepg from running and deleted files from usb flash drive, I have install xmltv importer and xmltv-rytec which is working fine , does anyone know where this plugin stores the epg files I can't seem to find them, Tthe only file I can see is epg.dat on usb stick, but not sure if that is from new or old plugin.

Its a 8mb ish file stored in flash ETC/enigma2. I tried editing the settings file in that directory to point it to tne usb. as per the info in the link I pmd you from the pli faq's.
