The box was working fine the other night then all of a sudden picture went blank. It works fine on scart but even after changing av settings the hd doesn't work.

Ive tried all the usual, new hdmi cable..reflashed ..factory reset then select hdmi but im stumped...

Any idea's

have you triad flashing new image try it on another TV first see if it your tv

I reflashed it with the same pli image via the browser. Do you have another img handy for cable

Betting its hardware a lot of clone seem to be having this issue of late.

I repaired one re-flowing the HDMI ports solder joints. Thats does not mean your problem is a dry joint though.

OK thanks, I'm leaning towards that because when I select the HDMI from av settings in the box PLI settings and reboot with the TV on HMDI1 the hdmi symbol flickers on the TV flickers like mad like it's trying to bite but can't.
I'm fine with the soldering iron so it might be wroth a go, do you reflow from the underside of the mobo ?

i tried a bh and a PLI img, both do the same on a panny tv and a samsung. The hdmi selector symbol normally comes the tv for a few seconds when you change source but when I have the dm800se hooked up it stays permantly on flickering away

the "HDMI1" symbol stays on the tv top corner like it's trying to receive a signal but cant quite get it.

Yes mate the board has to come out 5 mine job.

I'm just looking at a previous thread and pics someone else posted up here showing the hdmi socket. Is it a case of a drop of flux then stroke the legs with the iron like an atmel ?

Thats how i did mine mate because i only had the basics at hand , really fine tip needed. If you've ever chipped ps2's you'll be ok.

My eye twitched when you said ps2 chip, I had a constant headache when I were chipping
