Hi all, it's been a while since I have used my DM800 has it had died but I decided to purchase a new motherboard from a company in Germany for £56. The original box was a clone with a ferrari SIM. Anyway installed the new motherboard and all is working, however...

I am not really sure if the sim is original or clone, it looks like it has a BL of 74, the SIM is white with a silver hologram on top that says SU and no other markings on either side. So before I attempt to flash this box with a new image I really want to make sure I do it in the right way.

Any pointers if this is a clone or what images I should be looking at with this, would be good also to find out what sim this is?

Thanks

Ok, little update, I have since found out that it's an original motherboard and sim not a clone, so I plan to install a new image.

I am looking at one of the blackhole images, it says the BL is 84, question now is can I just install the image as is and will it update the bootloader, or do I need to do that separate?

Also finding that none of my web browsers will take any action when you press flash, so also looking for an alternative way to flash the box, maybe via FTP and telnet?

All sorted now, so in the end I had to fiest update the SSL to #84 with dreapup version 1.3.3.2 (other version did not work)

Once I did that then then I was able to flash the box with the black hole image via the web browser, guess the updated SSL works with the latest web browsers where the old one would not.

Hopefully this will help someone reading this forum in the future
