Dm800hd original

Chaps my dm800 has started being a pain ! It keeps saying tuner failed. The signal strength is around 76% but every 30 seconds or so it goes to zero and I get the tuner failed message. Then it's sorts itself for another few seconds.

Nothing has been done with this box for ages, if it ain't broke and all that !!

Cheers for any help it's a real pain now !!!

Tuner faliure or mobo

You could try this fix wont cost much and worth a go.

Or just buy another box ? Whats good these days ?

If my dm800 breaks I was thinking of a vu+ solo se

Has to be pretty easy for me to use mind lol

Weird ? Had nothing then disconnect coax reconnect and it's back stable ?? Hope it lasts for the footie

Ok I've a budget of about 200 notes and need a replacement ! I'd normally get digidudes approval but he's jetted off to a sheep convention in Texas or is that takes-arse ??? Anyways what the best one to go for ?

What do you want from it? Is single tuner adequate? Will you be recording?

I'll be recording and flexibility is better my good mate Digi has told me a nano se but if I can get better for a bit more then happy days x

If you are interested in a broadcom based receiver,

Nano-Se is single tuner and does not support internal HDD. YOu can record to netwrok device external HDD It has a 750 MHZ CPU, same one as Vu Zero (£90)

Nano 2 super has a 7356, same as Solo2. It has twin sat tuners and accepts a 2.5 inch HDD (£170)
Nano 3T combo is as the Nano 2 Super but has the third hybrid tuner. (£190)

With the TMs you will be limited to Vix, OpenATV and 4D images unless you know someone who compiles their own PLI images. I've had the N2S/3TC for over a year and both have been fine other than slight bilp with timeshift whch seems to have been cured in the 9/4/15 drivers.

If you have an aerial/cable I would recommend the 3TC. It is £20 nore than the N2S. I'm pretty sure the parchute jumper will sort you out a good deal.

My advice solo2 better support than anything else thats been named.

Buy an original and you wont go wrong.

It's a original dm and this has been the first real hassle I've had with it ! Strangely all is well this morning after I unplugged and re plugged everything I possibly could including the hard drive tuner ect x

If it were to be a tuner fault mate there only £30 or so to replace.

have you got the box? How does it perform Dutcho? Any reviews as my duo has just given up the ghost

It's really good and fast I've had no problems right out of the box

TM3T is good option with cable tuner as well.
£189 I think.
