Vix is my favourite image and was surprised to find it for the dm800hd. I'm running Apollo 026 on my 84 boot loader sim 2.01 800hd.

i tried installing the blue hd skin on the feeds but got the error opkg config could not lock /var/lib/opkg/lock, this was the same for on demand but magic hd skin installed ok.

I found a fix that I should delete var/lib/opkg/lists but didn't work.

i continued on settings up the image, when I put cccam 213 ipk in tmp and tried to install I got the green screen and had to power box off, now it's not coming on at all, will have to reflash box.

does vix not work well on dreambox or am I doing something wrong?

try openatv 4.2 nice image just works nice with dm800

There's also an Apollo 028 image floating around that seems to work much better, if it's not on here say and I'll upload it after work.

Cheers mate, I want th blue hd skin most of all plus vix has the best epg but will try out both anyway.

here's blue hd skin

I think Vix for the Dm800 is an emulated version of Vix,its not designed to run properly on the 800.
I tried a version of Vix a few months ago and it was buggy as hell, front display didnt work properly and in the end I switched to Openatv which is almost the same thing anyway.

No avoid vix on the dm800, openatv runs great on it very stable image and most the features if vix

How do i get cccam on to this box. Im aware of the process, i usually just ftp my cccam 2.1.3 ipk file to tmp and install but is it different for this image...?

Check the feeds theres cams there

Oh, ok, will do cheers

I put the blue hd skin in the tmp folder and went to install, it never installed???

That will be in feeds aswel m8

Is there no cccam 213 for this image. I've always found 213 to be the most stable, even more so than mgcamd in some circumstances

Just checked no its not there for me either, i think they all work the same, its all down to the provider i think

is this for openatv of vix

just use openatv save all the hassle

best option

Yes I have decided on openatv. Have flashed it onto my 800hd. I am unable to install any plugins, even blue hd skin at 1.8mb crashed my box last time. So I need to free up flash memory. Flashexpander is not preinstalled so I have a feeling it could be the same as blue hd skin. I install it and then it crashes my box...

I have got a 16gb flash drive and split the partitions on my laptop, one is 10gb as ext4 for flashexpander and 6gb as fat32 for picons and other stuff.

I presume I am correct so far but having never did this before hoping someone can explain next steps..

Pluginskin mover is preinstalled so I take I can move over a few plugins to the usb drive...~??

Regards...

Well Ive moved a couple of plugins to free up a bit of space but blue hd skin will still not install. Ive been able to install flashexpander ok but when I select the usb drive for my desired location it gives me the green screen and reboots. Tried this a couple of times with no success.....

Oh dear, well blue hd skin installed but its not displaying correctly, when I have the boquet screen up, it doesn't show the small pip screen in the top corner..also when I press ok for the info bar it just shows the blue/yellow box, doesn't say whats on now or next or any text at all....

Is blue hd the same with everybody, it does display the same as on vix on my vu. I've got my internal he'd mounted as media hdd but can't get ish mounted correctly, box keeps crashing....need usb for flash expander....
