As you know i'm a complete noob to linux so I need a little help with my DM800SE

1. How do you get a DM800SE to see a $ly card, I've put the Boxkey in the CCcam.cfg but when I inserted the card there was nothing, I couldnt even find a place where I could view inserted cards.

2. How do I change the settings so that Plugin/Addons Downloads go to my Internal HDD instead of the tiny 60mb of memory which only has 1mb free I cant find it on any menu so far?

Box is a DM800SE with Enigma2 running latest Nemesis image from ******* CCcam 2.2.1

Are you sure that the boxkey line in the cfg is not commented out i.e. has it got a hash sign in front of it?

Plugins and Addons can only be installed to the flash memory m8,just make sure that things like recording paths or epg storage are set to the Internal HDD

The 800SE also has 2 card slots make sure the cards in the right slot, thats referenced in CCCAM config file. Or swap the card to the second slot and see if it's seen.
You can web browse to the CCCAM infor page and check whats going on from your PC http://IP ADDRESS OF BOX:16001 (if your using port 16001 or repalce this with whatever port is configured in CCCAM config for webinfo).
How did you fill up all the internal storage ? Delete any un-needed plugins, channel lists etc. As Wiz mentioned make sure reocrding paths are set to hard disk or USB. Also use hard disk or USB for your EPG data.

Rec and Epg are now set to hdd since hdd was installed so it will have left files over from before that I reckon so I will have to search for them.
As to the main prob what line is it in cccam.cfg that sets the card location is it BOXKEY: /dev/sci0 12 34 56 78 or SERIAL READER : /dev/tts/0
(I take it if I used a 2nd card it would be numbered 1)

The box arrived with a lot of plugins installed as a noob I dont know which I need a dont...
cccam 2.2.1
Newcs
cccam info
epgsearch
gen dreambox
gp2 flashbackup
cdinfo
cronmanager
VLC videoplayer
webinterface
TSpanel
Mediascanner
Audio Sync Setup
CrossEPG downloader
DCCamD
and 2 skins

Is that a lot?

/dev/sci0 is the one you want,

put this in your browser http://192.168.x.x:16001 replace the x's with the rest of your box's ip address,
then goto the entitlements tab and see if shows anything in there,
if it does then make sure CCcam is running,

Thats about the normal amount m8,I would reckon its leftover recordings or EPG since before you installed the HDD

I have about two more plugins installed and still have 15mb free space in flash memory.

Just found out the Bouquets are still on internal memory, how do I move them to the hard disk?
Also I cant find the remnants of the epg on internal memory, anyone know where there kept?

I have looked

Bouquets and channel lists will always reside in the flash memory m8,
not sure where your epg would be hiding though :(

You might be better off reflashing and starting from scratch m8 if its affecting your box tbh,but make sure you backup your bouquets and your cfg first,
by the way did you get the card to work?

A BIG THANKS
I've Got the card working now, it was user error, someone told me you had to have Newcam running which you cant at the same time as cccam, but that was a prob on old 800's seemingly. Once I started cccam again it worked.

One last thing anyone know how I change the bootlogo.jpg? I cant delete it or move it or overwrite it in the boot dir
