Hey People,

Whats up with the Re-Wind live TV function on these, they have an internal HD with a buffer... It should be able to do this shouldn't it ?? Why doesn't it just record everything you watch if it's hd is idle like a s*y box or an n*l so you can hit re-wind at anytime as long as it's been on the screen it should re-wind... Is this just a matter of configuring an image to so or is there some hardware limitation that doesn't allow this feature ??

Regards,

Jay

they dont have a internal hard drive mate, you need to install 1 before you can record!

I have it installed and working mate... but it doesn't re'wind live tv. If you hit pause it starts recording and you can only go back as far as when you paused it, it doesn't automatically record whats onscreen... You can't just rewind live tv like on sly or n*l, it's not full pvr, but I don't see why it's not is the thing.

Btw is it the same on the 8000 ???

I didnt know you could do this. Only thought you could rewind if you'd pressed the record/pause button !

Any links to where to get it from (either via box or manually adding) ?

Thanks

Hey Chris, i think you r using black hole image, how did you install this plugin, thanks for finding it also

I FTP'd it to my tmp folder using Dreambox Control Center, then installed it via Green - Yellow - Install manual ipk on the dreambox remote

Thanks guy's, this is great news...

I'm just having some trouble installing it... I ftp'd it to var/tmp it see's it when I go green/yellow an manual Ipk install, but gives an error //bin/sb syntax error unexpected "(" ???

gettin past that now, getting this:

opkg: .1pk: no such file or directory
collected error's:
* failed to extract control file free .1pk
Execution finished

I'm afraid I still can't get this working, I am now using open pli jade 3, I copied it to tmp folder in the root on dreambox (exactly which temp folder theres a few ?) it still doesn't see it in menu, In software management, install ipkg... is that correct ?? I also tried telnet'in to the box and ipkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-permanenttimeshift_0.9.3_mipsel.ipk

I have also downloaded another version of the permanenttimeshift ipk file that doesn't work either...
