Hey people,

I'm trying to flash an dm800 hd using dreamup 1.3.3.6 it looked like it was gonna do it fine it copied the hole image (Merlin-2.Excalibur_OE-1.6-dm800-20110220) to the dreambox and then it said the dreambox was copyin it to it's flash memory an it hung there a few percent in...

Had issues with a 500 but wasn't gettin as far, it was crashing before it even copied the file over. but using a diff version of dreamup solved the problem... Would this solution help for my problem with the 800 ??

Also can I rewind live tv with the pvr in the 800hd ??

Jay

u flash the 800 by holding the power button in
and applying power ,it willgive you an ip addy on lcd
type that in web browser then upgrade and browse for
the image u want to flash.
it takes about 4mins
usiing nullmodem takes over a hour.

I held down the button, lights red an flashing... I got into the bootwith using firefox, I clicked upgrade firmware an browsed to file an clicked flash... but it appears to do nothing. Just sits there.

According to the book I should get a progress indicator... that I'm not getting at all it just sits there when I click flash. Could this be a bogey image or somethin (tried it on another dm800 an gettin same) I'm downloading another image now.

I had a similar problem with Chrome and Firefox. Ended up using IE9 and it worked ok. Think Ive read on here of other people having difficulty flashing with certain versions of Firefox as well?

Thanks mate that got it, had tried google chrome, firefox and opera no joy... It say's in the instructions to use firefox or opera.

i tried flashing a 7020 last night, and was getting nowhere, fired up IE, and it flashed straight away

looks like its a browser issue

I had this issue on Firefox 4, older firefox worked fine IE7 and 8 also work. Switch to an older version of firefox.
