Dreambox DM7025/7020HD Model Choices?

Hi,

As a newbie to Dreambox, I wonder if you can please kindly help me.

With production of the DM8000HD now stopped, what would be the new flagship model to consider? Or is it likely that there will be a new DM7025HD or something similiar version due to be released. How does the Icecrypt 6000 (1TB hdd) compare with the new flagship Dreambox model? Is it compatible with Dreambox images such that they can be applied to the Icecrypt 6000?

Is it worth waiting for a new Dreambox model to be released in the next few months?

There is a 7020HD with twin tuner support, but it doesnt go upto the same quad tuner support the 8000HD had. Theres a new OS in devlopment at Dream expected to be released on new range of revievers.
Goliath is the successor to the current dreambox range shown by dream at Anga cable 2012, Not sure what the timescale for release on the hardware or software is.
So basically a complete new hardware and software platfrom,..it's the next generation you can expect all other manufacturers and cloners to be left behind again once Goliath arrives...It wll be a jump similar to Enigma 1 to Enigma 2 recievers. Apparently Goliath is a lot more internet connectivity based...

gsmtech has the best answere! But With dm70020hd, you should even have a tuner that can do more than the dm8000 Box. With dm7020 hd you can connect much more external Devices an have what dm8000 have. USB tuners, usb DVD burner, USB harddisk an so on. dm7020hd also have CEC wich will give you auto shut off TV when you set Your Box in sleep mode.
