Ide hdd dm600

In the SIN BIN
trying to use hdd from an old lappy in my DM600pvr
box sees it ok
but when i try to format it ,box hangs
after reboot it says hdd is initialised but when i try to record i get not recognised msg.............any ideas
 
is there a jumper on the drive m8? try it as cable select
 
not sure how to cable select digi, just usin jumper already installed with box
 
On the Pli image there is option to make the hdd go to sleep after a certain number of minutes if it is idle. I normally leave mine at 2 mins this causes a timeout when formatting a hdd as 2 mins is not long enough to format. Check you do not have something similar on your box.

Thx, I'm using the Pli image also, will check this when i get home today
