hi,

I recently decided to update my dm500 from the commando nuetrino 14.3 image to the 14.5.The touble is i cant get my cccam working.I have done exactly the same as i have done on the .3 image to .5 image but my line wont activate....currently on a small linux home set up using both router ip and dns routing address`s , although the softcam menu does say the cccam is activated but still no joy , btw i am using 2.2.1 and when reverting back all is fine..... am a bit confused, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Telnet into your dm500 and type ps then hit Enter. Do you see CCcam listed as a running process?

Linux is case-senstive and the cam must be named CCcam (and be in /var/bin/emu) else it won't be detected by the Softcam menu. But I guess this can't apply to you, otherwise you wouldn't be seeing it as active in that menu.

Which leaves one other possible culprit: You have /var/etc/cccam.cfg instead of CCcam.cfg

2.2.1 works rock solid for me in all versions of dm500 Commando so far, when tested for educational puposes

Cheers- AL :)

thanks PaphosAL..... re flashed and hey presto... must of been the CCcam.cfg......much aprreciated!!

Google is your friend. You'll probably find the download named something like CCcam_version-number.ppc

You just FTP that file to /var/bin/emu 'AS' CCcam (the Softcam menu will chmod it for you).

We menu-support the following cams, all of which would belong in that same folder:

CCcam
evocamd
gbox
mgcamd
oscam

Cheers al next question I'm green when it comes to dreamboxes where do I put my cables.xml files to do my first scan ? And do I have to change anything else to get it to find my cables XML?

Have a look at the post by Renwich in this thread:

https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/index.php?threads/283174/

It explains in detail what you need to do to get cables.xml working properly. Also read further down that thread for some further hints and tips by LraiZer, where it seems a Fast Scan works better than a slow scan. Strange, but true.

BTW- your cables.xml file (when edited to the info given by Renwich) lives in /var/etc

Im trying to get my N line working with this image but cannot get it to work.
Usually i have my N Line inputted in the CCcam.cfg file and it works fine, but with this image i cannot get it to work. scratching my head for past few hours. please help...

You put N: Line in newcamd.list or cccam.list to work with mgcamd or cccam... C: Lions go in cccam.cfg

Hope this helps

hey thanks for your reply,

strangely, ive been putting N-Line in CCcam.cfg in my previous images like, OpenPli, Gemini 4.70, OpenPLi-Turko v22 DM500s etc.
it worked untill this Commando 14.5 lol

any help on where can i find the newcamd.list or cccam.list?

thanks

Is there a installation process i need to do or just drop mgcamd into var/bin/emu and /var/keys/newcamd.list i just input my N line?
