DM500s v's DM518s

wondering if anyone is using a DM518s,, are their any bugs with it,, im using a 500 with commando/neutrino an looking for a bit more memory/power,, iv tried the 800hd but dont like enigma images,, wots your opinion.

hasn't it got the same memory as a dm500?

The 518 is the same hardware spec as a 500. The only differences are the power supply is internal on the 518 and it doesnt have a scart socket it uses RGB phono sockets.
Best avoid the 518 in my opinion in general on clones the power supplies are known to be a weak point at least with an external PSU it's easy to source a repalcment. It's not easy to source an internal power board for a 518 if it fails you might as well scrap the box.

Is the blade 500s same image etc better looking also.

thanks lads ill stick with my 500 for now,, i like the sound of the blade so might get 1 of them later on to try

blade 500s is the bollocks...

Does the blade 500 have the same low volume bug as the dm500??

Not all 500 clones have the low volume problem. The DM500 DMBOX V8 clones dibt have this issue, it;s labelled on the packaging as well that theres "improved" volume output". DX used to sell v8 clones, I think they stopped now though good recievers look to be better built than some other clones i've seen.
I havent used a Blade version, not sure about the volume issue on these.

We spoke about this before mate if i remember??? its getting hold of the v8's nobody seems to have them??

They are back on DX I just checked...but theyre in a nasty gold and orange colour...not sure why they've done that... They used be balck and silver in a DM500HD style case.

Orange and yellow?? what the feck is that all about??? lol
