DM500 CS setup within family

Hi All you Experts,

I'm finally going to the CS way using the satellite. as early this year my DBOX died due to n3. I waited all this time and no joy hence Dreambox 500.

I have had a read through of various Dreambox threads and know enough but need to confirm with you experts that my understanding is correct.

I want to set up a sharing service between my 3 family members and 2 friends and we're all going to share the cost (around £7 per month.) I have purchased a sly subscription with a good package of movies, sports, etc. and I want to setup server and configure 5 clients. would my 10meg existing O2 broadband be enough to do this...?

to setup server I need to put my card into my DM500 server once I have updated the boxkey into ccam.config...? is that correct...?

is this going to be illegal....? as we're going to pay monthly fees and share it within the group only. I am not interesetd in selling this service as don't need to get caught for tenner lol

Is there any easier way to organise channels into appropriate bouquets..? I have just scanned the channels and scanned nearly 1000 channels. most of them are useless crap like Arabic, saudi, etc. Would really love to know how to get readymade channels for Astra/Eurobird 28.2E satellite.
I'm only interested in UK SLY ENGLISH channels only please.

I have updated boxkey in my config file and put the card into the DM500 and it still doesn't show any paid channels :-(

Am I missing any of the step...?

it doesn't show any paid channel at all?

even without the box key it should show channels such as Comedy Central, Sky One etc

It sounds like you just haven't started the Cccam service, is it installed and running properly?

I am also just messing around with this share localy with 1 box and then with 2 family members

have you deleted # in cam cfg file if so is the cam starting on dm 500
