Lonrison Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flashed clones only)

These images are for use with v4 flashed boxes only. If you haven't got a v4 flashed box or you are not sure what flash version you have, do NOT use these images as it is very likely it will brick your box. You have been warned.

I recommend backing up your current image first before flashing with these images.

These drivers have the drivers confirmed as clonesafe (with v4 flashed boxes). Due to these drivers being old, some features may not work or work as intended.

These images have the driver version patch and drivers write-protected already applied but I still advise against doing an online update. Any updates done are at your own risk as it may cause bricked box!

I take no responsibility for any bricked boxes or other problems due to using this image. Use these images at your own risk!

Remember these images are for use only with boxes known to be using v4 flash update.

OpenVix Apollo 147 (build 13/02/15)

OpenATV 4.2 (build 13/02/15)

BlackHole 2.1.4 (build 05/12/14)

I would like to thank those that have helped in testing these images.

blackhole 2.1.4 works perfect on my v4 lorison clone.. few reboots.. and all good...

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

OpenVix Apollo 147 (build 13/02/15) works fine!
I installed xbmc launcher from the feed and all installed correctly but it wont launch from the plugin panel! Must be the old driver problem you mention in 1st post!
Other than the xbmc problem everything is working as it should and seems very stable!
Thanks for all your effort ketmp its appreciated mate!

You're welcome.

There is also an animation menu that doesn't appear with old drivers I noticed but does with xbmc drivers.

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

is the sky skin like on your other posts in these images

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

I wonder if Lonrison will ever release updated drivers that work with XBMC? Ive been to VU+ and X Website --- Home but there is no "contact us" page to ask them for myself!

Unfortunately no. You can do it yourself....

1. Download & install from plugin feeds, "Blue-HD" skin.
2. FTP the attached .mvi files over to "/usr/share/" over-writing the 2 existing files.
3. Whilst viewing your recording list/planner, press Menu > Settings and then change "Font Size" to "3" and "Number of Rows" to "10".

Now on your next full reboot, the bootlogo will show. The skin is available on both OpenVix and OpenATV. Not sure about Blackhole.

I had nothing to do with either the Sky skin or the bootlogo files attached and thanks goes to those responsible.

Personally, I don't think so and I too had noticed the lack of a "contact us" page.

That other file is just an example so you know what the other two (.mvi) files look like. It's not needed at all.

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

OpenATV 4.2 (build 13/02/15) working fine also apart from xbmc not working! Seems stable for now but only had it installed for around an hour so time will tell! Thanks once again ketmp!

Nice post mate....

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

Nice post mate....
Thank you. Although I did the images and took the chance of a bricked box on my Sunray, I still couldn't have done it without actual testers with the v4 who also took a chance. Therefore I would like to thank @jones8430, @liverpoolrbest1, @dubliner, @IAmATeaf & @lombard to name a few for the testing and/or for the help/advice. Apologies if I missed anyone else off.

I will continue to keep updating the images so long as images remain relatively stable considering the fact the v4 drivers are not upto date nor xbmc drivers.

Hi Lads,
Just wondering has anyone experienced this issue I have with my box I brought back to life after the chip replacement.[
Its updated to V4, however when I try to put the box in deep standby, it proceeds to shutdown and then reboots again.
Any ideas to remedy this greatly appreciated.

Suttsy.

What image are you using and have you done any online update or anything on it?

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

Finally got round to trying this image so many thanks ketmp for the image. Still can't get my modified image to load but am still looking into this :)

2 things I've noticed, firstly after flashing the image the MAC address of my box changed, I know that this can be done via software/config so I'm looking into this. Secondly, my USB NTFS formatted drives via USB no longer mount, reading around I need to install this package kernel-module-ntfs_3.13.5-r4.7_vusolo2.ipk using the command opkg install kernel-module-ntfs but when it tries to download it it fails. Does anybody have a copy of this package that they could upload?

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

The feeds were down this morning but were back online again a few hours ago so I installed the ntfs kernel package and still couldn't get my NTFS drive to mount. The command blkid detected the drive but when plugged in no matter what I did it wouldn't mount and any attempt I made would unmount my usb flash drive until I restarted the box. In ViX mount manager it could see the drive but there were no details against it for size or type.

So for the time being I've made a backup of the image and gone back to the trusty ViX 3.0-808.

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

@IAmATeaf, you have an original box don't you? Could you install untouched original image 147 (I'm assuming you're referring to vix) on your original box and see if drive mounts then? It could be image related or because drivers and kernel were locked down from previous build so naturally kernel/drivers weren't updated.

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

That will have to wait as I've lent my original to my friends daughter whilst I try and find out what's wrong with her dm800hd clone which has problems when changing channels. As soon as it's back I'll get on it.

Ok. I'm thinking that if this is a plugin that is needed (even in original of same build) then plugin may not install correctly as it's a kernel and the 'sed' command should prevent update of kernel (along with associated drivers) to allow online updates without fear of bricked box. If this appears to be the case, then it should be possible to put 'sed' back to what it should be which may allow kernel plugin to work.

Re: Lonrisun Clonesafe Images (for use with v4 flash)

@Kempt,
Hi mate, the image i used was: the VIX Apollo Image of your download in the 1st post of this thread, its not a show stopper but I normally programme it for deep standby when a recording has completed.

Suttsy
