this is a great site/gif that explains how ya f stops work etc etc. you can goto loads of setting just like a dslr and see how they work and change the pic, just click what you want to mess with, even the light

Thanks for this link, I bought my first dslr camera (nikon d3200) last week and i'm still learning what the F-stop, Iso etc all do and mean.

im still learning after 6 year lol, hope ya like your nikon, iv two of em, a d40 an d5000. my main prob with nikon is all lower end dslr,s require a servo in the lens for it to auto focus.they cost more :) when you start to think about a new lens or two, take a look at sigma. they cost less than nikon.

thanks for the tip mate, funnily enough I Was just looking at the prices for new lenses ,nearly fell of my chair when I saw the prices for some of the lenses :Yikes: These sigma lenses are they just as reliable then the nikon branded ones.

iv got a 70-300 sigma lens , had it over 3 year , its been out in rain shine mud etc etc at airshows an never let me down. all i would say is read reviews on the lens an make sure it has servos in it. a lot of people give sigma great reviews an for the money you carnt go wrong. my next lens will be a 150 -500 sigma £600 as a gray market import, £800+ uk shops, nikon alot more lol

99% of these pics taken with my cheap £130 sigma lens
