Hi there,

Total newbie here.

What settting would I make to my camera fuji s5700 to be able to take photos of a starry sky?

Cheers

Long shutter speed (ideally 'blub'): longest shutter speed on the S5700 is 4 seconds.
High ISO: S5700's max ISO is 1600.
Wide aperture: its widest aperture is 3.5.

To be honest, I don't think you'll get much more than the brightest stars. But give it ago anyway.

If you can lock the shutter open then all you have to do is take the lens cover off for as long as you like. Trial different lengths of exposure yourself that way.
