Hi guys, having read through the tutorials, it is advised that you backup you services and Bouquet files through FTP. Having attempted to do this am finding that copying from the Dbox to my computer takes ages! Considering the files are only 20K in size am assuming it should only take a second or two to transfer over. As a result of it taking so long SmartFTP timesout and cancels the transfer.

Any advice on how I can quickly tranfer over the two files to my computer?

Many Thanks in advance

Thanks for the advice, dowloaded Flash and successfully connected to my box but seem to be coming across the same problem, manages to transfer about 8k of the services file and then seems to ground to a halt. The strange thing is when i copy files to the box, it has no problems at all and copies in seconds!

Strange one...

Do you think it could be something to do with my settings?

Is this the half duplex NIC setting?

Makre sure you have gone into device manager, double click your NETWORK ADAPTERS and goto your NETWORKING CONTROLLER.

Double click it and goto ADVANCED tab, SPEED/DUPLEX settings, force 10 half duplex or force 10H duplex. Click ok.

Try transer a file again.

Sorted! Thanks T4i, had my setting at Full Duplex! Transfer complete! Thanks to everyone for their help and advice once again. Much appreciated.

Yes u should have managed to get it going, as the exact problem just happened to be posted on another forum aswell (with exactly the same answer).

LOL ... guess alternate dimensions do exist.

Had just read that actually, us newbies appreciate all the help and your patience. :proud:
