Im currently running a cable and telephone service ONLY from my cable company, would splitting my modem signal be sufficiant for me to get FTA channels on my D-box or do i require am existing Subscription ?

Thanks in advance

It will work without a subscription, but why would you only want FTA channels from your DBOX? surely you'd want em all? If its only FTA you want just stick a raw cable feed into you telly, set your telly to tune and you'll get lots of channels including VH1. Well, that works in my NTL area anyways.

true why would you just want FTA channels with a dbox??? you must be loaded mate...:)

hehehe of course i want them all i just didn't want to break any possible forum rules by coming right out and asking :proud:

didnt realise i gould get FTA via the cable as it is, thatll help for my daughters room as shes bugging me for a tv feed ito her room, this saves me having to go on the roof again :)

cheers guys

I was quite surprised myself when the N*L engineer showed me how to just stick the cable feed straight into a telly and tune in the FTA channels. Live and learn eh?
