Existing Sub required ???

Im currently running a cable and telephone service ONLY from my cable company, would splitting my modem signal be sufficiant for me to get FTA channels on my D-box or do i require am existing Subscription ?

It will work without a subscription, but why would you only want FTA channels from your DBOX? surely you'd want em all? If its only FTA you want just stick a raw cable feed into you telly, set your telly to tune and you'll get lots of channels including VH1. Well, that works in my NTL area anyways.

hehehe of course i want them all i just didn't want to break any possible forum rules by coming right out and asking

didnt realise i gould get FTA via the cable as it is, thatll help for my daughters room as shes bugging me for a tv feed ito her room, this saves me having to go on the roof again

I was quite surprised myself when the N*L engineer showed me how to just stick the cable feed straight into a telly and tune in the FTA channels. Live and learn eh?
