HI,
I have a strange problem with ethernet port in my Nokia D2 2xIntel.
When I plug in crossover cable connection is showing, but there is no answer for ping, etc.
Connection is direct between pc and dbox of course.
My network setting:
PC -> ip 192.168.1.3 mask 255.255.255.0
dbox -> ip 192.168.1.2 mask 255.255.255.0
Connection is showing as 10mb/s - it's correct for dbox maximum transmission speed.
I flased my dbox by hyperterminal an null modem cable, because bootmanager and ifa, they not working with my "broken" lan.
When I plugged ethernet cable (simple 1->1 cable of course) into my router there is no ip also (no matter static or dhcp).

I checked some resistors in ethernet pcb corner:
RE4 i RE5 - should be 49R9 (prawie 50 ohm) , on my board both are 25,5 ohm
RE7 i RE8 - should be 75R (75 ohm), both are 68,8 ohm
RE6 i RE9 - should be 37R4 (37,4 ohm), both are 36,3 ohm.

Should I change RE4 and RE5 only?
Or mayby is something wrong with chip TRE1 or TE1?

Thank you.

Try changing the speed to 10baseT_half duplex on your pc network card and give the dbox an ip one above your pc ip and try connecting with your ethernet crossover cable
Also disable all antivirus and firewalls.

I did it already.
I have got another nokia 2xintel with the same software and when I connect it to router, box receive ip by dhcp without any problem problem. This second one doesn't.
The same situation is with direct connect to pc.
It's absolutelly hardware problem.
I will try change those resistors first, I think.

Regards.
