Aldi doing these remotes for £9.99, these will most likely work with nokia, sagem and dreambox if their last universal remote is to go by

Got one today- thanks for the heads up, Firefox!! Wicked looking bit of kit for a tenner, I must say... Quality user guide, and what looks to be a decent helpline with a normal landline number, + 3 years Warranty.

Only 2 left when I got there- wishing I'd bought both now. Will be interesting to see if it does my Philips DVD HDD Recorder; Gemini 4in1 from Asda doesn't, but I'm quietly confident this Tevion will.

Cheers- AL ;)

cool remote...i gonna get me 1.beam me up scotty, (could these remotes turn the wife down..or off...or disappear ??? )

Has anyone else bought one of these and managed to code-search the Nokia box?

I can get it to the point where it puts the dbox into Standby, so press the Pause button, then Ch- every 2 secs to try to turn the box back on. The closest I can get, is it turns On. then back Off in a fraction of a second. If anyone knows the code, I'd sure appreciate it!!

Also- how do you disable the annoying key press 'beep'? I've followed the destructions to the letter, but I can't shut it up...

Cheers- AL

heres codes from my older tevion universal remote code list

nokia 0519 0531 0530 0564 0425 0429 0508 0548 0563 0531 0454 0487
sagem 0648 0570 0604 0599 0603
dreambox 0658

Thanks for that, m8- but the new model is 3 digit code input. Managed to find the code by being ultra-fast on the device button. It's 124 for Nokia.

Think I've got to give it some learning from the dbox remote, though- so I have active dbox and home buttons. Not sure if I'll be able to train it for Red, Green, Yellow, Blue buttons though. These seem to be auto-reserved for the 'Punch-through Transport system' / dvd & vcr players...

Sussed how to kill the beep: Hold any device key down and at the same time, (and within 3 secs) tap the Mute button.

It doesn't seem to want to know my old Hitachi tv up here in the office. Oh well, only a tenner, LOL! Cheers- AL

Hi,

Anybody know the code for Dreambox please?

I got this remote and cant get it to work with my dreambox
at all , doesnt even learn any of the functions,

Ita a tevion 7009 and it only accepts 3 digit codes and Im sure the dreambox has a 4 digit code

To all of you (calisto, cryptik, and papa2)- try the AutoSearch method, my way, which assumes you're going to store it in the CBL button.

  • Only have your DM / Sagem switched on- and NOTHING else
  • Press and hold the CBL button till the led stays lit
  • Press the > button, keeping r/c pointed at your dbox
  • led flashes every second- it's searching...
  • Keep your finger hovered OVER the CBL button
  • The instant your dbox goes OFF- tap the CBL button.
That's it! The booklet tells you how to find the code in use, although distinguishing between a leading 0 and 1 is nigh on impossible, but it's easy enough to try both afterwards, manual entry.

Once you have it doing the basics, you can then train it to do other functions too, allegedly... But if I can't train mine to replicate the dbox button, it will probably finish up in the sideboard drawer for ever, LOL!

Cheers- AL

Update: I'm now making good headway with the Tevion remote. Using my little black Premiere r/c to 'train' the Tevion gave haphazard results. Maybe this was because the premiere remote does both Nokia and Sagem dboxes?

Anyway- I followed the destructions, and cleared ALL learned keys for the device key the nokia is set up for (Sat, in my case- I'm leaving Cbl for the subbed Sammy 2110c).

Tried again using the proper Nokia r/c as the 'Trainer'... Success! Now have dbox / home / ? / Red / Green / Yellow / Blue keys all trained and working. I'm starting to lurve this gadget!

Cheers- AL

Hey Paphosal exactly what is the model number of the remote
you've got as I said previously mines a tevion 7009

And I've tried all the methods again as per the manual
and still no joy

Same here, m8- 7009

Been tearing my hair out trying to get it to work my subbed sammy 2110c with no joy. Not that I use that box much, with my nokia dbox2 sitting on the shelf below it, LOL!
