my 1st kein system

hi guys,

i was flashing com 6 onto my box which previously had com 7.5 coz of the time change problem, and after erasing the flash it froze, was not writing, so i had 2 pull the plug and hence my 1st kein system.

ive downloaded IFA and the tut from the downloads section and had a go, heres wot happened:

after it says your computer will now prepear for the flash process... click OK, imediatly after clicking OK an error message pops up:

Es wurde keine (passende) Netzwekkarte (mit verfugbarer IP) gefunden!... and all i can do is click Abbrechen, so i do

Everything looks ok for about 10-15 seconds then this error message pops up:

Es wurde zehn mal vergeblick versucht die dbox von Netzwerk zu starten... click OK and thats it

from the log, it seems to freeze at these line:

debug: Transmitting BOOTP request via broadcast
debug: Given up BOOTP/TFTP boot
boot net failed
boot: elfcopy failed: 16
dbox2:root>

Ive tried restarting the box after this point but same thing keeps happening. ive tried dw 02 image aswell at no success.

Wot do i do??? any help would be much appreciated.

You have to give your network card a fixed IP and the mediasensing patch must be installed.

my nic has a fixed IP and where would i get the mediasensing patch from?

sorry ive found the patch, shud have checked downloads 1st, ok ill give it a go and ill post back how it gets on

Yer elfcopy 16: is a networking error, you might want to install the ENGLISH version mate, it makes those errors a little easier to understand

thanx a lot guys, got me sorted real quick

installed the patch but still wasnt working so i tried IFA version 2.3.1 and worked 1st time. once again thank you for yor help
