HI guys, new here, but hopefully someone on here is in the know with PBX's

At work we have a Panasonic KX-TDA30 pbx. It used to have the 2 POTS lines supplied by CentreX. So if you manually hot keyed an outside line, you'd still have to dial 1. But if you just dialed 1 without keying a specific line it would work.

We've now ditched the CentreX corporate plan and are feeding two VOIP lines into the pbx. If I hotkey a line, and dial a number it works fine.
If I dial 1, the number doesn't work. Its like not only is the 1 routing to an outside line, its like its adding 1 to the dialed number too causing it to not work on these new lines.

Hope this all makes sense :/

I'm back on Monday, I'll have a play with my pbx, we use ip phones over VPN - but never had a VoIP line yet.

Hi there, a general PBX setup at least for VoIP and ANALOGUE lines require you to press a number and it will automatically direct you to the first available line normally starting from 008 (depending on your PBX setup, programming and the trunk cards which are associated with it. So ultimately you should be able to press that specific button which for you in NZ would most likely be 1 to route you a line to dial CO (Call Outside). Upon lifting the handset, unless the PBX system is told otherwise via maintenance console programming you should be able to dial CI (Call Internally). Good luck with this and if you have any more information you can provide me with so i can better assist your request, please let me know!

Do you have remote access to the system i can take a look for you if you want. Do you not use 9 for an outside line? How are your flexible keys programmed? If you had a pot line it's usually 4 lines so the voip lines start from line 5 after. Log onto system and disable the analogue line card and you can change trunk numbers aswell for voip.
