That's correct mate.
The 1st link is the image, so download to usb, then turn off box, insert usb then turn on box and it should flash, when finished, rebooth the box.
2nd link should be downloaded and Ftp'd to the temp file on the box, then in the menus install local IPK, rebooth the box, it should appear in the plugins menu then.

I'm starting to piece everything together and I'm feeling more confident of flashing my box . Will the new image over write the old one or will I have to delete the old one and the addons like tsmedia. Planning to have a day of later this week so I can put on the new image . Sorry so many questions
It will over write your old image when you install it.
Downloaded image link onto usb inserted in to box usb working rebooted . Still have old image! do I have to load the second file before I can see the new image?

Open up the folder is there a file named noforce ? If there is rename to force and try again.
If the file is already named force your box may not be seeing the usb to flash with reformat to fat32 and try again failing that try another usb.
Some image do leave behind their old splash screen so you need to full boot and have a look around to determin if the image flashed.
Thanks for reply. File already named force ,but I have noticed since I put the usb in the box 2 extra folders have appeared on the usb Movies and timeshift is that ok? what's a full boot I have been turning of the power to reboot,I guess that's not correct.
Yeah it going direct to boot and not flashing did you check inside the cloudix folder for the force file ?
You have un rared too many levels all those files need to go in a folder named cloudix. Then transfer that to your usb stick and flash.
FTP to the box to edit files Filezilla is a good choice to FTP into your box with.
If you go Menu-setup-system-network and then adapter settings that will show you your boxes IP
Use that in filezilla
User = root
pass = leave that blank there is no password
Select port 21 and click connect.
Downloaded second file. Using filezillaI can see temporary file on box do I transfer the folder or the file inside to the temporary file . Is the menu on my STB box or FileZilla. Is the install local IPK in my STB do I install anything or is it a icon to click
