What are you using to backup your image > There is a plugin in the plugin menu backupsuite use that.

All backup plugins require a mounted hdd or USB the backup plugin needs a formatted hdd or USB thats what it is asking you for.

After you have transferred the file to the tmp folder you need to install it this is better done via telnet do you know how to use telnet ? If you do login and paste in this command and it will install tsmedia for you.

opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

If not use the vix addons manager

Press the blue button then VIX then Install local extensions highlight the tsmedia file and press OK

Thanks for information. I have never used telnet and don't know where to start . I have searched all the menus for vix add on manager and can't find it . There is a swap file manager but its inactive and I can't turn it on .
Should I have tsmedia already loaded before I will see the Ipk file.
thanks Wesss

Your looking for install local extensions

Sounds like your IPK file in the tmp folder did not transfer.

restart filezilla transfer again

Then

Press the blue button then VIX then Install local extensions highlight the tsmedia file and press OK

Transferred file using filezilla transfer successful. I can see the file in the tmp on my stb. When I reboot file is not there tried this 6 times file is then disappears after reboot

It always get removed at reboot that is why its called the tmp (TEMP) folder

All your doing is transferring it you then have to install it as ive explained above.

Unsuccessful with the above method searched all folders on stb and there is no ipk file . Can you talk me through telnet

As Ferret has stated, turn on box & transfer the file to the temp folder, do not turn the box off.
Navigate to the install local IPK's, press enter, you should see the TS Media file.
Press the blue button which will put a green tick in the box to the left of the file, when this is done press the green button and install it.
Reboot the box, press menu, TS media short cut should be there, if not go to plugins it has to be there.

If its not there you may not have enough flash memory to accommodate the file.
Delete plugins that you wont use to create more flash memory.

Thanks for the information. I think I have had some success found tsmedia in plugins . Downloaded to box and I guess that's the 2 files you sent me to down load. I can see lots of sites but they don't work I receive a log error. Played around with a site hd180 downloaded another plugin and up Dated okpg ?blue button and it actually give me access to movies.unfortunately the buffering is so slow I could not watch. But overall the advice I have been given and followed has been quite successful. Can I get better downloads and more sites, there is so many plugins how do you know what to use.
thanks Wesss
