Hi guys, got an aged old problem - looking for some advice whether I've bricked box or not.

My Cloud ibox2 plus was working perfectly for 12 months or so then suddenly one day on a reboot it got stuck with boot displaying on front.

I have managed to get it to reflash no problem, it goes through the procedure etc and have a new splash boot screen as well but it still just sits with boot on front display and goes no further. Have tried the two diff bootloaders, 3-5 diff images and they all do the same thing.

Does this mean it is bricked and needs jtag to fix or if its still accepting flashes is it still recoverable!!??

Cheers if you can advise as I was going in circles for past 2 days with it and followed every instruction I could find online and every boot option, only to get stuck at same stage each time. By trying so many images and bootloaders I've probably locked it up now but if anyone can confirm it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

sounds like you flashed wrong image
see above

Cheers lads.

Will try the instructions by Ferret and see how I get on. Hoping its bootloader issue just considering the box keeps taking a flash...but all else fails, it's going out the window :)

Thanks again!

At long last and with much thanks to Ferret's help and instructions I managed to reflash the box successfully by using the bootloader and backup image contained on this thread.

I think the only thing I had to do with the clone bootloader was change the name of the unzipped folder to cloudix for my particular type of receive as the xpeedlx (?) folder wasnt recognised by my box when i plugged the usb in. So I changed the name and it picked it up and flashed the bootloader in about 1 second. Then flashed the backup image, which took some time but it works a treat.

For someone who tried every instruction out there I could find, many times over, this has been a lifesaver and saved me buying a new box as I had enough of trying and if this hadn't worked, box was for the bin!

Thanks again to Ferret in particular, who's always there to help. Guy's a star for us noobs....
