Problem after flash

This was also buggy, my remote stopped again after 5 mins. I wonder is it because it is not the original remote that came with it? But a universal one? Anyway i have tried the DW Hades backup but i am having difficulty running the open vix hades download. Can you clarify if i am doing it right..i am on old bootloader..this is what i have done:

Unzipped the CFE folder, carried it over to usb..inserted the usb and started the box, it booted normally. Shut it down again, took the CFE folder out, unzipped the Cloudix one and carried it over, put into box, it started to flash (had to rename to xpeedlx though) now my box is froze on the boot screen

You can not just rename the folder because it needs the new bootloader to work with the drivers in the new image. I specifically told you that the bootloader had to be flashed first and its states this on the readme of the image download.
The correct method is

Unzip the bootloader transfer the xspeed version of the bootloader to usb stick.
Flash bootloader
Telnet into the box with the cpu command and make sure the cpu speed is 751
Only when it is 751 do you proceed to flash the cloudix image of vix hades

You have to follow this or your going to end up with problem after problem and possibly brick your box ignore those instruction at your own risk.

None of the images ive released are buggy or have issues with the remote, you may have a hardware issue.

PS i didnt mean "your" imahe was buggy mate, i meant my box :)

To make this as easy as i can use the attached bootloader

transfer bootloader to usb stick named xpeedlx.
Flash bootloader this takes less than 60secs
Telnet into the box with the cpu command cat /proc/cpuinfo and make sure the cpu speed is 751
Only when it is 751 do you proceed to flash the cloudix image of vix hades leave it named cloudix this is now the format your box uses.

Your welcome.

From now on you no longer need to flash the bootloader just use cloudix format images

Well your cpu is now running at 751 rather than 500 so it does give the box a bit more speed. Plus its running on the latest drivers.

yeah mate! just fixed a red light issue too on a mates ibox 2. Starting to get to grips with things now :)

Is this the same bootloader as "Universal Clone Bootloader Edition"

At long last and with much thanks to Ferret's help and instructions I managed to reflash the box successfully by using the bootloader and backup image contained on this thread.

I think the only thing I had to do with the clone bootloader was change the name of the unzipped folder to cloudix for my particular type of receive as the xpeedlx (?) folder wasnt recognised by my box when i plugged the usb in. So I changed the name and it picked it up and flashed the bootloader in about 1 second. Then flashed the backup image, which took some time but it works a treat.

For someone who tried every instruction out there I could find, many times over, this has been a lifesaver and saved me buying a new box as I had enough of trying and if this hadn't worked, box was for the bin!

Thanks again to Ferret in particular, who's always there to help. Guy's a star for us noobs....
